General Inquiries

Does Kara Yoo have a storefront?

We do not have a storefront. Although we hope to in the future, stay tuned!


Occasionally, we host in person pop-ups—subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media for event updates.

Where can I shop Kara Yoo in person?

You can find selected Kara Yoo pieces at your local boutiques. Please check our stockist page to find one near you.

We do not accept walk-ins at our office. However, you can book a in person shopping appointment with us via our email info@karayoo.com.

Does Kara Yoo offer payment plans?

We currently do not offer payment plans.

Is Kara Yoo jewelry sustainable?

We are an earth conscious brand. If you want to learn more about our sustainability practices please visit our sustainability page.

I emailed but I haven't gotten a response yet.

Our studio operates from Monday to Friday. Emails are answered within 48 hrs in chronological order.

Since our team is small, when email inquires are at a higher volume our email correspondence may be slower. Please refrain from sending multiple follow up emails, as your email will be pushed to the bottom of our queue once a follow up email has been sent.

Where do you ship to?

We shipped worldwide! You can find our shipping rates and delivery time below.

What are your shipping fees?

International Tracked Shipping: $30 flat rate

International Express Shipping: Not available

Domestic Expedited Shipping: $20 flat rate

Domestic Express Shipping: $30 flat rate

USA Tracked Shipping: $20 flat rate

USA Express Shipping: $60 flat rate

We offer free shipping for domestic orders over $75 USD and International orders over $150 USD.

When should I expect my order?

As a small business with limited staff, our processing time can be vary. Some of our products are made-to-order, production timeline will be posted on product page in this case.

Our usual processing time is 2-4 Business days with a possibility of extended production time if your item is out of stock.

Order processing time is not included with the shipping estimate time.

Domestic Expedited Shipping:

British Columbia: 1~3 Business days

Other provinces: 5-8 Business days

Domestic Express Shipping: 1-2 Business days

USA Shipping:

USA Tracked Packed Shipping: 5-8 Business days

USA Express Shipping: 2-4 Business days

Other International Shipping: 15-30 Business Days

Do you offer split shipments?

If you place more than one order at a time, we will combine your orders for shipping to reduce the carbon footprint.

If an item from your order is out of stock and requires an extended of production time we will reach out and offer split shipment.

Do you offer order protection if my parcel is lost in transit?

Once your parcel is dropped off to our courier facility, we are not responsible for the handling of delivery.

In the rare case of lost parcel, we recommend you contact the courier to file a claim.

If you have further questions, you can also contact our team.

Are duties and taxes included in my shipping cost?

Domestic Canadian Shipment: Duties are included, taxes are calculated at checkout.

International Shipment: Duties and taxes are not included. Please visit your local custom office website for further information on the custom fees. Kara Yoo is not responsible for the custom fees that may be charged on your shipment.

Can I change my shipping address?

Due to security reason and fraud prevention, we are not able to change your shipping or billing address once the order is placed.

We can add on the unit number for you, however we cannot change it to a completely different address.

If you wish to modify your address we kindly advise you to cancel your order and place a new one with the correct address.

I received the wrong item/the item is defective upon arrival.

We are human and we make mistakes sometimes! Please reach out to our team at info@karayoo.com for further assistance.

Orders

Can I pick up my order? When will the order be ready?

Yes you can pick up your order from our office. Please select local pick up as your shipping method during checkout.

We are located in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. Our pick up hours are Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm.

Item availability might vary, especially for made-to-order items. Normally, your order will be ready within 3-5 business days.

Once your order is ready we will email you for pick up appointment details. If you need your order urgently, please email our team at info@karayoo.com, we will try our best to help you out!

How can I track my order?

If you have not received a shipping confirmation, it means our team is still working on the production of the item(s) you ordered.

If you need the order by a certain time and you have not received a confirmation after our processing time, please feel free to reach out to our team.

Can I preorder an out of stock item?

Yes! If an item is out of stock please reach out to our team at info@karayoo.com for preorder or inquire about the restock date.

Do you offer gift wrapping? Can I get a gift receipt?

Yes we can gift wrap your purchase.

Please make a note at checkout to let us know you would like the item(s) to be gift wrapped.

We do not offer a gift receipt, but the packing slip in your order does not include prices. If the receiver would like to exchange or return the item(s) they can get in touch with us by providing the order number on the packing slip.

How can I redeem my gift card?

You can enter your gift card code during checkout in the discount code section. :)

Can I cancel or change my order?

Orders are eligible for cancellation within 48 hours of placing the order if the shipment has not been processed.

Made-to-order items are not eligible for cancellation. Please email us to cancel your order.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We offer free exchange or return within 10 days of receiving the order.
Sale items and custom pieces are consider final sale, no exchange or return.

How do I process a return or exchange?

Please email us at info@karayoo.com to inquire about your return label.

When will I receive my refund?

Your refund will be provided when we receive the item(s) back to our studio. The return shipping time will vary from 2-4 weeks.

Do you offer a resizing service?

Yes! Please inquire about the resize service by emailing us at info@karayoo.com. Some items cannot be resized.

I purchased your jewelry from a local boutique, am I eligible for your return & exchange policy?

Although we do not offer returns or exchanges for any item purchased through a boutique, your purchase is still covered under our product warranty.

If you have an item that is not directly purchased from us that needs repair or replacement under our warranty, please email our team at info@karayoo.com for further assistant. We will require your purchase information along with a photo or video of the jewelry.

Product Warranty

Do you offer replacements or repairs?

We offer free replacements or repairs within our 1 year warranty. This does not cover any lost item or damage outside of product defects.

If an item is damaged after a year of purchase, we do offer repairs with a fee.

Does Kara Yoo jewelry tarnish?

Tarnishing is normal with all jewelry. We make our jewelry to last as many years to come as we can. You can simply clean and care for your jewelry by reading our care instructions.

If I lost one of my earrings can I purchase a single side?

Yes, please inquire about single earrings by emailing our team at info@karayoo.com

Does my jewelry come with a warranty?

Yes! We have a 1 year warranty for our products.

For gold plated pieces, we offer a 2 year warranty for re-plating only.


If you are experiencing an issue with your product, please email us at info@karayoo.com with your order number along with a photo of the jewelry.

Do you re-plate gold jewelry?

Yes! We cover 2 years of warranty on gold plated items. If your plating is coming off and the base metal is showing, we will re-plate it free of charge within 2 years of purchase. Plating process will take up to 4 weeks, shipping time not included.

Made To Order

What is considered a made to order item?

Made to order items include any items requested in a custom length or size and solid gold items. We also will note in the product descriptions if the item is made-to-order.

How long will it take?

The production time will vary depending on material availability and how busy our production line is. It will usually take from 2 to 4 weeks of production time.

Can you alter an existing product for me?

Yes, we are able to offer different size and length for existing products. A custom fee may apply and some items may not be eligible for alteration. Please email our team at info@karayoo.com.

Jewelry Care & Materials

Where is Kara Yoo jewelry made?

80% of our jewelry is produced and finished by our production team in Vancouver, Canada. We also have some manufacturers in Spain, Thailand, and China to help us produce some styles.

What materials does Kara Yoo use in their jewelry?

We use 925 sterling silver, nickel-free bronze, gold-fill, and 14K yellow gold. Our pearls and gemstones are all genuine. Visit our materials page for more details.

Is Kara Yoo jewelry hypoallergenic?

Yes, our jewelry is hypoallergenic. We use nickel-free and anti tarnished plating on gold plated items along with 925 sterling silver and nickel-free bronze.

How should I care for my jewelry?

We make jewelry that is made to last. For the longevity of your jewelry, we do not recommend wearing it while showering, exercising, or swimming. Please read our material care page to learn more.

Sizing

What length do you offer in necklaces and bracelets?

Our necklace lengths range from 14" to 20".

Bracelets rangle from 6.25" to 7".

Each necklace/bracelet has its own length that we thoughtfully designed. If you prefer a different length or size, please email info@karayoo.com. A custom sizing fee may apply.

Privacy Policy

Kara Yoo Jewelry only uses your personal information for your order. We will only email you about your order or to send you periodic newsletter if subscribed. We never sell or release your information to a third party.
